The Golden Years Summit
The Golden Years Summit is Compassion by Design's inaugural national conference, created to address critical issues impacting older adults, caregivers, and the professionals who serve them through education, collaboration, innovation, and preparedness. Planned as an annual three-day hybrid conference, the inaugural Summit is scheduled for November 2027 and will bring together family caregivers, healthcare professionals, long-term care staff, emergency management experts, community organizations, researchers, advocates, and policymakers from across the country.
The Summit will feature nationally recognized speakers, expert-led educational sessions, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on learning opportunities focused on improving the quality of care and strengthening support systems for older adults. Topics will include caregiving best practices, healthy aging, dementia care, healthcare navigation, workforce development, mental health, disaster preparedness and emergency planning, technology and innovation, policy, and caregiver wellness.
Participants will have the opportunity to earn professional certifications and continuing education credits through specialized training programs while engaging in meaningful networking, cross-sector collaboration, and the exchange of evidence-informed practices. The Summit will also showcase innovative programs, community partnerships, and emerging solutions designed to improve outcomes for caregivers and older adults.
More than a conference, the Golden Years Summit will serve as a national platform for advancing excellence in elder care, recognizing the invaluable contributions of family and professional caregivers, promoting emergency preparedness and community resilience, and inspiring collaborative action to shape the future of aging services across the United States.
