Dionna Jones, MSW
Dionna Jones, MSW is an accomplished human services and parks and recreation leader with more than 15 years of professional social work experience. Throughout her career, she has supported children, families, foster and treatment foster parents, and individuals with disabilities—helping them access resources, strengthen their support systems, and navigate life’s challenges with dignity, resilience, and hope.
Dionna earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Morgan State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. For the past 17 years, she has served communities throughout Prince George’s County, Maryland, through progressively responsible leadership roles with The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
In addition to her professional expertise, Dionna brings the deeply personal perspective of caring for her mother. She understands firsthand the love, joy, challenges, and emotional demands that accompany caring for someone you love. This combination of professional knowledge and lived experience enables Dionna to offer compassionate, practical guidance on caregiver well-being, resilience, and the importance of caring for yourself while caring for others.
