The Legacy Forum Series is a monthly virtual educational and support program designed to bring together caregivers, older adults, family members, healthcare professionals, and community advocates for meaningful conversations, practical learning, and mutual support.
Hosted by Compassion by Design, the Legacy Forum Series provides a welcoming space where participants can gain knowledge, access valuable resources, connect with experts, and engage with others who understand the challenges and rewards of caregiving. Each 90-minute session addresses a key topic related to caregiving, aging, wellness, advocacy, and community support while providing opportunities for learning, reflection, and connection.
Whether you are caring for a loved one, supporting older adults professionally, planning for future caregiving responsibilities, or seeking resources for yourself, the Legacy Forum Series offers education, encouragement, and practical tools to help you navigate the caregiving journey with confidence.
A signature feature of the series is The Prepared Caregiver Corner™, a dedicated segment included in every forum that focuses on emergency preparedness, disaster readiness, and continuity of care planning for caregivers and older adults.

The Prepared Caregiver Corner™
A featured segment of every Compassion by Design Legacy Forum, the Prepared Caregiver Corner™ equips caregivers with practical strategies they can use to become better prepared before emergencies happen.
Led by Sharron Williams, BSN, RN, our Prepared Caregiver Corner™ Founding Expert, this 15–20-minute session brings more than four decades of nursing, home health, and caregiver education experience directly to caregivers and families. Sharron's mission is to help caregivers feel more confident, prepared, and resilient when facing the unexpected.
Throughout the Legacy Forum Series, Sharron will share practical guidance on emergency preparedness topics.
Each Prepared Caregiver Corner™ is designed to provide real-world tools, actionable tips, and trusted guidance that caregivers can immediately put into practice.
