Ebony Travis Tichenor, MBA, PHR

Ebony Travis-Tichenor, MBA, PHR, serves as the Legacy Forum Series Facilitator, guiding meaningful conversations that help caregivers, older adults, families, and community members feel seen, supported, and empowered. A respected leader, caregiver, and storyteller, Ebony believes authenticity, compassion, and trust are the foundations of genuine connection.

With nearly three decades of experience in Corporate America, Ebony has developed people-centered strategies that strengthen workplace culture, improve performance, and support sustainable success. Her professional journey began in an administrative role, where she learned that influence is not defined by a title—it is earned through consistency, integrity, and the way we make others feel. That foundation ultimately carried her into senior leadership.

Ebony also brings nearly two decades of personal caregiving experience to her role. Having balanced the responsibilities of an executive career with caring for others, she understands that leadership is not limited to the boardroom. It is also demonstrated through resilience, empathy, and the willingness to show up for people during life’s most challenging moments.

Before entering corporate leadership, Ebony developed her confidence, discipline, and stage presence through cheering and pageants. Those experiences strengthened her ability to connect with diverse audiences, remain composed under pressure, and create spaces where people feel comfortable sharing their stories.

Rooted in her Texas upbringing and shaped by her blended Black and Mexican family, Ebony brings an authentic perspective to conversations about caregiving, identity, belonging, ambition, well-being, and personal growth. As the Legacy Forum Series Facilitator, she draws upon her experiences as an executive leader, longtime caregiver, partner, storyteller, and well-being advocate to lead thoughtful discussions with warmth, purpose, and heart.

Ebony’s message reminds us that meaningful leadership is not about having a perfect journey. It is about navigating life’s competing priorities with courage and humanity—and helping others feel less alone along the way.
