Village Without Boundaries™ at The Compassion Coast is an innovative initiative of Compassion by Design, Inc. that explores how immersive technology can create new opportunities for social connection.
Built within Second Life, a three-dimensional virtual world, the Village is being designed for older adults, caregivers, and others who may experience isolation or barriers to traditional community participation.
Through personalized avatars, participants will be able to explore shared environments, interact in real time, participate in activities, and build friendships through meaningful experiences.
This is more than a website, a video meeting, or an online discussion group. It is a place to experience community.

Building the Village, One Experience at a Time
Village Without Boundaries is moving from vision toward reality through a phased development process.
Our initial work focuses on landscaping, waterways, community environments, and the foundational layout of the immersive destination.
Future phases are envisioned to include additional buildings, interior spaces, accessible experiences, community programming, and opportunities for engagement.
As the initiative grows, Compassion by Design intends to evaluate participation, engagement, and participants' experiences of social connection to help guide future improvements.
